Richard Ladkani – Director of Photography
Richard Ladkani has completed over 35 documentaries ranging from wildlife in Encounterswith the Great White Shark, to politics in Escape Over the Himalayas, a film about Tibetan refugee children. He has worked on historical documentaries, such as Judas the Traitor and The Crusaders, as well as character-driven stories shot in Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Mongolia. A 20-part series, Monasteries of the Danube River, earned Ladkani both the Austrian and Italian cinematography awards. His film, The Devil's Miner premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival and has since won over a dozen awards including the Tribeca Film Festival, Hot Docs and Chicago Film Festival.
